About ‘Philosophical and Other Essays’ by Inhahe/myriachromat

This is just a collection of ideas I want to share and points of view I (passionately) want to rant about. Most of the posts are philosophical in nature.

The blog follows an overall anti-scientism/physicalism/mechanicalism/”skepticism”/rationalism and pro-mysticism/spirituality/New Age/paranormal/parapsychological/magical/ineffable bent. In my opinion, the arguments presented in this blog are unusually reasonable/sound/intelligent for someone who literally believes in magic, souls, etc., though some faults are 1. that I don’t make my arguments as logically rigorous as I could in some cases, such as by using sequences of quasi-logical deduction like Wittgenstein did for example; 2. that I don’t research opposing views in order to attack the problem from all possible angles, though my philosophical insight has been described as “panoptic” nonetheless; and 3. my writings could probably enormously be benefited if I’d bother to include fabricated arguments of my ideas with imaginary opponents, in order to pre-emptively nullify typical objections and show the depth with which I think my positions through.

I passionately want to open people’s minds to the unfathomable richness and open-endedness of life and existence, because the opposite, which is the prevailing Western point of view among people who are of above-average intelligence but aren’t extremely intelligent, abominably sets out to quash all life and magic in people’s perception and hence in the world. (Re the “extremely intelligent,” the graph of tendency to believe in mystical/spiritual elements is biphasic; it sinks for people with above-average IQs and rises again among those with extremely high IQs, as told to me by a former president of the Prometheus society, a 99.997-percentile high-IQ society, who has an IQ of 180. Apparently, being only of moderately above-average intelligence is a pitfall: it makes you smart enough to appreciate science, but not smart enough to see past scientism, empiricism and the biases of academia.)

This blog doesn’t go much into empirical evidence for the so-called supernatural, rather focusing on general analysis, epistemology, and the myopic reasons that the opposition believes (or disbelieves) what it does, because all such evidence would naturally be dismissed on some grounds or another, and no doubt they’ve heard of such instances already, but on the other hand, if you can really speak to someone by “hitting home” wrt the reasons they believe what they do, maybe you can actually help to change their minds. Well, to be honest, I guess there’s just a smattering of “reasons why the opposition believes what it does” here and there in this blog.

I also think this blog contains a lot of original ideas, arguments and insights, because that’s just the kind of thinker I am.

I plan eventually, after I finish going over again and polishing all my essays, to make this blog into a free e-book and post it on Amazon in order to hopefully get more publicity, but unfortunately, as you may notice, a lot of the ideas, arguments and stories presented in this blog are currently repeated multiple times across various posts, because they happen to be pertinent to many of the topics I write about and I want my essays to be relatively self-contained and self-sufficient, short of the various links to other pertinent essays within them, but this won’t be good for a book, in which the blog is more likely to be read as a whole, so I might just reorganize and rewrite all the ideas and material in this blog as one whole book, but that would be a major undertaking, and I’m lazy, so we’ll see.

Not all of my posts can be found on my blog’s main page; it only shows the first 100, and some of the most important posts were earlier on. You can find a page listing all of my posts, with the most important ones nearer the top, here: https://myriacrhomat.wordpress.com/all-posts/.
